Monday morning again and it’s time for an adventure with Ryder my grandson. What is going on with the weather, as much as I hate not being able to go off into the Dales, an indoor venue is a must. York Railway Museum here we come!
The Rolls is out of the garage and is best for managing the weather so with us both strapped in we head to York.
In my opinion the best thing to do is Park n Ride to avoid big parking charges and traffic.
The Railway Museum is mega! The main attraction around the turn table for me was the 2A4 Pacific trains Mallard and Dwight D Eisenhower, and for Ryder it’s Thomas the Tank Engine all the way – I couldn’t get him off the ride!
Food cost is reasonable, a good bowl of soup and a crusty roll fed us both and Ryder was left to run around the station, coming back for a cuddle every now and again – perfect!
Back to Richmond via Beningborough Hall – one for the list to visit another day.
