Your Day

I thought it would be helpful to describe some of the adventures I have been on to give you an idea as to the type of day you can have in the Yorkshire Dales with the cars.

Yorkshire Dales

1) A Perfect Family Picnic

In the height of Summer, when the weather is warmer, I took the family for a picnic in the Rolls Royce to the River Wharfe between Deepdale and Yockenthwaite.

From our home in Richmond we head towards Hawes on the A684, via Leyburn,  through Aysgarth to our first stop a village called Bainbridge.

2) An Escape to the Coast with a touch of romance along the way!

To give them a break from hectic life, kids, work and stress, my son (Andy) and his girlfriend (Liz) head off in the E-Type Jaguar for a night’s escape. They didn’t manage to get the photo’s I wanted (kids!!), but I think its because now they have an excuse to go and do it all again ? watch this space!

From Richmond they take the scenic route – Stokesley to Helmsley, Kirbymoorside, Pickering and stop off at Thornton-Le-Dale for coffee by the stream. Described as Yorkshire’s ‘Little Gem’ www.visitthorntonledale.co.uk. At Lavender’s Cafe the coffee is perfect, sat outside by the stream, peace and quiet in the Autumn sunshine.
